This has been a wonderful exchange program. I absolutely loved the field trips to the volcanoes and Ecuadorian ballet – keep up the great work!

I really like the small classes and that we are made to speak Spanish – the teaching methods are very effective.

Hola,
Well we are home again!!!!
We really did have the most wonderful and unforgettable time in Peru and Bolivia, thanks to all of you.
The Latinoamericana de Espanol is a fantastic organization, thank you for all the effort everyone went through to help us realize this dream.
We had a great time home staying in a Cusco family. Thank you to the teachers, our classes with you were an absolute delight, we felt we learned a lot. We likewise enjoyed the cultural activities in the afternoons and just loved Cusco.
A big thank you to also for all your help in Uyuni in getting us on the train when the bus didn't go. We will treasure our memories of all the wonderful people we met and the special times we shared together, quien sabe, perhaps some of you will make it to our part of the world one day and we can reciprocate the hospitality we so much enjoyed in Peru and Bolivia.
Muchas Gracias.
Saludos Cordiales,
Pam

Pam and I will continue to study the beautiful language of Spanish and we have great memories of our time in Peru and Bolivia and the patience of the people there who allowed us to use our Spanish. Studying at the school gave us the opportunity to speak Spanish more freely and with more confidence. I can only agree with Pam's email and repeat all the things that she said. Two great Spanish speaking moments which were good for me was when one of the guides told us we were the first Spanish speaking Australians he had met and when Pam and I translated for 2 American girls who spoke no Spanish at our homestay on Lake Titicaca. Proud moments.
Gracias.

Our teacher was awesome. She took the time to make sure that all the students understood but did not harp on a single subject overly long – just the right amount of practice without being tedious – perfecto!

I really enjoyed class and our teacher was excellent. She was always very helpful in describing new words that I don’t understand, and correcting my errors when I am speaking.

This month was honestly the best time of my life. My host family taught me so much: between cooking empanadas with my host mom Mari, discussing the immigration policy with my dad Jorge (I think he thought I was more fluent than I was), going out salsa dancing on Chivas with my host cousin or being taught Spanish curse words by my brother, I felt at home right away. They classes were also so helpful: after two frustrating years of bad teachers, the amazing professors were such a great chance! I think being forced to use my Spanish actually gave me a huge boost of self confidence. I realized that no one was going to laugh at me if I was trying to speak, and even if they did, it was all in good humor and they appreciated my efforts.
I love my host family so much. They instantly made me feel at home - my host brother was just as crazy as my brother in real life! We would get in epic battles in the kitchen and would try to pick me up and throw me into my room. It may sound a little crazy, and in truth it was, but it made the experience all the more memorable.
The excursions were amazing - I'd never ziplined through the forest or milked a cow or swam in a waterfall or rode a horse or bargained at an Indigenous market before, but they were all amazingly fun!
Thank you so much for giving me this fantastic experience!

I really like how everyone speaks in Spanish. I can’t speak Spanish yet after just a week but sure I understand a lot more.

My name is Cody and I have been a student here at Academia Latinoamericana now for just short of eight weeks.  This has been an unforgettable experience for me so far and I am sad that I will be leaving soon.  The city of Cusco is very beautiful and I have made lots of new friends.  There are tons of places to shop as well as places for entertainment and nightlife.  The food is great and if you like to dine out it is very inexpensive.  Also, it is very healthy, I have eaten like a pig and actually lost some weight.  The best part of being here in Cusco so far has actually been meeting the other students.  I have met people from all over the world and we normally hang out in groups on the weekend.  It is normal to be a bit homesick when traveling at first...but the people here are great at making you feel at home.  I highly recommend the institute as well as the city of Cusco.  I hope that you do not miss out on an opportunity of a lifetime.

My teacher has been so enthusiastic and so energetic. She has such a positive presence and always encourages me to learn and to learn from my mistakes too. These weeks of classes have been incredible. I’ve really enjoyed my time here in Ecuador and have a very high opinion of the Academia. Thank you. Also, my host family has been fabulous – friendly, fun, responsible and accommodation. It’s been a very positive experience.

I really believe that the school, the teachers and the staff are excellent. I would very much like to come back again.

My teacher is very good. The Academia is in a very beautiful building. The girls in administration are very helpful. I’d love to come back in the future to take more classes. Thank you to all of you!
